The Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) is the largest faculty of the University of Porto (UPORTO), with more than 8000 students, 86 courses and about 600 professors and researchers in 9 engineering departments. Some of the main areas of Research and Innovation activity are Environmental Technologies, Biotechnology, Materials Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Control, Systems Technologies, Energy and Energy Systems, Food Quality and Safety, Industrial Management, among others. FEUP is located in the Porto Innovation District, where the strong presence of engineering technologies, health sciences and entrepreneurship give considerable impetus to the innovation process.
