The Centre for Mechanics of Biological Materials, CMBM, established at University of Padova, develops advanced research and educational activities in the area of biomedical engineering. The CMBM multidisciplinary configuration entails the possibility of bringing the investigation of large and complex problems to a single research unit. Leading competencies in different fields are integrated, within the area of engineering and science, as biomechanics and mechanics of biologic materials, computational mechanics, biomaterials science, manufacturing engineering, mathematics, and the area of medicine, as anatomical, biomedical, gastroenterological, pharmaceutical and cardiovascular sciences.
