Optimad Engineering
Optimad engineering srl was founded in 2006 as a Spin-Off company of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of the Politecnico di Torino. The main focus of Optimad is the development of numerical simulation codes for geometry manipulation and mesh morphing (mimic), CFD (immerflow), model reduction, and optimization. In the past few years, these tools have been successfully used in both industrial applications (ranging from automotive to aerospace, naval and manufacturing sectors), and in research projects within the European research consortium. Optimad is also actively engaged in developing and maintaining bitpit, an open-source library for scientific HPC.
